Mike Leng has been active in the area for decades with a long Judo CV including:
- Referee (National B)
- Senior Examiner
- Area directory of examiners
- Member of the Y & H committee
- Coach of Ryedale club
- Chair of North Yorkshire county (inc organising the North Yorkshire Judo Festival)
We were very happy to be able to recognise Mike'e contribution with a presentation of 6th dan made at the Y & H regional schools.
Working with current members of the Ryedale club and his wife, Helen, we were able to make it a surprise for Mike.
