This years Championships were held at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre at Bradford on Sunday 8th March. There was a good entry of nearly 200 (166 actually competed).
This year the Area committee had changed the format for the Senior event by including a section for 2nd Kyu and below and also making the 1st Kyu and above section Points Scoring, and although the entry was still a little on the low side ,both seemed to be favourably received by Clubs, Coaches and players.
Their was some excellent competitive judo on display throughout the day from both the Junior and Seniors players.
On behalf of the Yorkshire & Humberside Area Committee could I thank all the Clubs and Players who supported the event.
A special thanks to the Table Officials, Referees and First-Aid for their hard work and dedication on the day, REMEMBER all these people are volunteers, without them competitions could not take place.

(Y & H Area Events Manager)
October the 5th saw Sean Nuttall and George Launders take a day long kata course at the EIS in Sheffield. A good number of players of all levels enjoyed the light hearted and modern approach to Nage-no-kata that Sean and George use to present this kata.
Thanks to George and Sean.
